I was thinking it would be an awesome media event for the parent of a soldier killed during the War On Iraq to put an Anti War statement on the tombstone at Arlington National Cemetery. But it doesn't sound like you get to choose. The government will provide at no cost to the estate of the deceased an upright, white marble headstone or white niche cover. The cemetery staff at Arlington will place the order, which goes to the National Cemetery Administration, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The order for the headstone or niche cover will include the appropriate inscription and choice of faith emblems.... Certain sections of the cemetery were designated in 1947 where private monuments could be placed. Private monuments that were placed in the cemetery were subject to review and approval prior to installation. As of April 1, 2001, gravesites in these older private-monument sections are no longer available. (more)

Jenna Bednar and Scott Page on "Can Games Theory Explain Culture?" They note that each player is playing multiple Games at the same time, and that different players are playing different sets of games, etc. We develop a model in which agents with cognitive constraints play multiple games. We find that the ensemble of games can influence behavior in individual games in ways that suggest the Emergence of Culture. We formally define four components of cultural behavior: intra-agent cultural behavior, inter-agent cultural behavior, contextual effects, and cultural bias and describe when each is likely to occur in the context of our model.
